March & April 2023 Update

Spring is here in full bloom, at least in Texas!   Lots of rain, but also lots of sunshine and warm weather. 

March marched right on by into April. Whew! I can’t keep up with these months. 

       Paul and I flew to Charlotte, NC, where Paul preached at Mike Whitson’s Bible Conference along with some excellent preachers from around the country. First Baptist Indian Trails, NC, is right outside Charlotte. March Like A Champion was the name of the Bible Conference. You can find all the messages on YouTube. Well worth watching and listening to. 

       My friend, Rosie Brieden, is now at Home! We had her Life Celebration on my birthday, March 23. My brother and his wife- Carl and Barbara Rexroad, came down to visit and go to the celebration with us. Carl and I grew up with the Brieden Family on their farm in Realitos, Tx. 

       Paul and I spent Easter at our condo in NC with Frank and Lynn Radford and Mike and Robin Carroll. What a wonderful time. The brunch for Easter Sunday was amazing. Then, celebrating Christ’s resurrection while looking out over the beautiful mountains filled our hearts with praise. 

       When we flew home, I flew to Tacoma, Wa, with Thom, Kelley, and Kadie to visit Jake, Kait, and the children. It was so beautiful there. We celebrated Blakeley’s 3rd birthday. It was wonderful spending some time with them. We miss them so much. 

       Paul flew to Las Vegas for the first Spring Leadership for WW.   Then, when he flew home, we left for Denver for leadership, then on to Hawaii. Thom, Kelley, Kadie, and Shelby met us in Hawaii. This was Kadie’s senior trip. We rented a VRBO on the ocean for the week, and then we headed for leadership weekend in Honolulu. While on the north shore, we spent an evening with Matt and Sandee Tsuruda and their family. They have a gorgeous place, and they are the greatest of hosts! When we returned home, Paul flew to Jamaica for leadership, then to Salt Lake City for a few days. He’s ready for some rest; after all, he’s 80! Yes, he turned 80, and I turned 76 in March, but we are going strong.

We are home getting things cleaned up in the yard. My flowers, herbs, and vegetables are growing. Our pool is ready for someone to swim!!   We are loving our new place and the people around us.
